The greenest way to fax a document is to email a PDF of it instead.
All recipients of the email will be able to view the PDF regardless of what software produced the document.
Save paper on the recipient fax machines, save leaving your desk, save having to type in the fax number, save having to retry sending.
You can even use pdfMachine to scan in already printed items to also attach to the email.
